2018 Hyundai Creta: Review, Facelift, Interior

The South Korean car maker has announced the all new 2018 Hyundai Creta model. This model has been caught during its testing in China wearing any disguise. So, we were able to see that we can expect and what novelties will the future Creta bring.

How the SUV market is constantly growing and the competition is getting stronger, the car maker decided to give the new Creta many adjustments to keep it fresh. So for the 2018 model year, we can expect many changes. First of all, the new Hyundai should receive a new design of exterior and revised interior. Furthermore, it will offer more features and upgraded infotainment system. As well, the future Creta should get a mild-hybrid technology this time.

The key rivals of the new Hyundai will be Nissan Terrano, Renault Duster, Mahindra Scorpio, Acura RDX and Toyota Fortuner.

The 2018 Hyundai Creta will receive several types of engines under its hood. There will be a choice between diesel and petrol units. So, the one option will be a 1.4-liter turbo petrol engine. This one will be able to develop 130 horses and 211 pound-feet of torque. Furthermore, the buyers will be able to choose between a 1.6-liter diesel and a 1.6-liter petrol engine. All the engines will pair with a six-speed manual transmission. However, a six-speed automatic gearbox will be available too. As well, latest news claims that the car maker will also equip it with a hybrid powertrain too. However, the exact spec and output are still unavailable.

Design of exterior and interior

When it comes to exterior design, the 2018 Hyundai Creta will be slightly revamped. The both fascias will feature mid-size facelift. However, its silhouette will remain the same. On the front, there will be a new radiator grille and slightly restyled bumper with revised fog lights. The rear end will receive new bumper and refreshed tail lamps. We can also expect the new design of the alloy wheels. Besides that, the new Creta will most likely get some new attractive colors for the exterior.

Inside, the 2018 Hyundai Creta will also feature the restyled cabin. The black theme will dominate the interior of the upcoming Hyundai.  The cabin will receive the new upholstery for the seats and it will most likely be premium fabric. The black seats will feature contrasting red stitching and will be very comfortable. The dashboard will be revised as well and it will feature an updated 8.0-inch touchcreen with latest infotainment system. The Android Auto, Apple CarPlay connectivity and MirrorLink should come standard this time.

As for the safety, the new Hyundai will offer many standard and optional systems. Some of them will be: forward collision warning, lane departure warning, a rearview camera, automatic braking system, park assist and many others.

Release date and price

The 2018 Hyundai Creta should enter the showrooms in late 2018 while it should go on sale in early 2018. Speaking of the price, unfortunately, there is still no available information.
