2018 Hyundai Tucson: Review, Colors, Hybrid

The Hyundai`s very successful and relatively affordable sport utility vehicle is once again announced to be refreshed as 2018 model. We are talking about the all new 2018 Hyundai Tucson. So, if you are looking for a small SUV with excellent safety, nice design, enjoyable to drive, then this model could be the right choice.

This small subcompact crossover has been completely redone in 2016 when it received new exterior design and improved powertrain. After that, as 2017 model, it got some interior improvements and new tech features. So, we can only conclude that the new 2018 Tucson won`t show some major changes. The engine will be mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. Estimated fuel efficiency is rated at 27 mpg combined with all-wheel drive and 28 mpg with front-wheel configuration.

The next option is supposed to be a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder direct-injected engine. It will be capable to produce 164 horsepower and 151 pound-feet of torque. The engine will be paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. The power will be sent to front wheels, while the all-wheel drive system will be offered too. As for the fuel economy, this one comes with 26 mpg combined with front-wheel drivetrain and 23 mpg combined with optional AWD system.

Design of exterior and interior

When it comes to exterior, 2018 Hyundai Tucson will pretty much stay the same as its forerunner. It looks attractive and very handsome. The front end will feature the well-known hexagonal grille and narrow headlamps with LED daytime running lights. It will ride on standard 17-inch alloy wheels. However, higher trim levels will be available with larger 18- and 19- inch alloy wheels. As we have already said, we expect the expended palette of exterior colors too.

Inside, 2018 Hyundai Tucson is sufficiently spacious and comfortable. It can accommodate five passengers. The dashboard will feature a 7-inch touchscreen with navigation system, Bluetooth and Apple Carplay. However, the automaker will offer a larger 8-inch display as well. The cabin will be equipped with many features such as air conditioning, cruise control, audio system with six speakers and satellite radio. As for the safety, the Tucson has gotten the highest rating. It will be provided with lane departure warning, rear cross-traffic, automatic emergency braking, blind spot warning and so on.

Release date and price

2018 Hyundai Tucson should hit the world`s market later this year. Perhaps it could be in late summer. The price of the base model should start at $28,590. Moreover, the highest trim level is expected to reach the price of roughly $47,000.
