2018 Nissan Juke: Nismo, Redesign, Price

After its release for the first time, Nissan Juke has gained the hearts of many with its unique styling and interesting design.  Since it has been very successful on the market, the Company will soon be ready to present the new 2018 Nissan Juke. This model belongs to the subcompact crossover class. Although the competition is getting stronger, the Nissan SUV is still one of the top selling models in its segment. It is fun to drive, has futuristic looks, good performance and it is easy to handle.

So, for the 2018 year model, we are hoping to see changes in almost every segment. Starting from the new platform, then modifications on the body, improved interior and we assume some changes under the hood. It should be available in several trim levels like the current model. Those are: SV, SL, Nismo and Nismo RS trims. Its key rivals in the subcompact SUV segment will be Fiat 500X, Chevrolet Trax, Honda HR-V, Mazda CX-3 and so on.

2018 Nissan Juke engines and performance

Speaking of the powertrain, 2018 Nissan Jukes should offer a few types of engines under its hood. Most of the models will come standard with a 1.6-liter 4-cylinder unit. This engine will be able to generate 188 horsepower and 177 pound-feet of torque. It will be mated to a continuously variable transmission. However, some models will offer a 6-speed manual gearbox as well. The new Juke will come as front-wheel and all-wheel drive. It is rated at 28 mpg in the city, 32 mpg on the highway and 29 combined (with FWD and CVT). The new Juke is able to hit 60 mph in 6.9 seconds.

Furthermore, the top Nismo RS should use the same 1.6-liter engine but with turbochargers. So, its output will be 215 horses and 210 lb-ft of torque.

As well, the new Nissan is expected to be powered with a 1.0-liter 3-cylinder turbo petrol and a 1.5-liter diesel engines.

Design of exterior and interior

First of all, according to the latest news, the 2018 Nissan Juke should be underpinned with a new platform. This should improve fuel economy and because of the longer wheelbase, the interior space will be enhanced.

When it comes to external design, the 2018 Nissan Juke will be one of a kind as always.  This subcompact crossover looks very modern, attractive and unusual. It features angles, curved lines and edges all over the body. The front end is dominated by LED headlamps and V-shaped grille. The headlamps will be placed high like on the current version.

Inside, 2018 Nissan Juke is ready for some major changes. The Company has used more quality materials such as soft-touch plastics and high-quality fabric in the design of the cabin. The dashboard should get a new infotainment display with AppleCar Play and Android Auto connectivity. Speaking of the safety, the Juke will come standard with a rearview camera, airbags, stability and traction control, anti-lock brakes and so on.
