If you`re a fan of sport utility vehicles with great off-road capabilities, eye-catching styling and strong powertrain, then you should check the new 2018 Toyota 4Runner. This model has gone through a major redesign back in 2014 when it got handsome exterior design and upgraded interior. So, the car maker won`t make any important changes for the 2018 model year since it is still a good looking vehicle. It will be a 4.0-liter V-6 engine. This unit will be able to develop 270 horsepower ad 278 pound-feet of torque. As for the transmission, it is also expected the stay unchanged. It will be a five-speed manual transmission. The rear-wheel drive configuration will be standard. However, the automaker will offer the optional all-wheel drive system too.
Speaking of the fuel economy, the rear-wheel drive model earns 17 mpg in the city, 22 mpg on the highway and 19 mpg combined. With AWD, it is rated at 17 mpg in the city, 21 mpg on the highway and 18 mpg combined.
Design of exterior and interior
When it comes to exterior, the 2018 Toyota 4Runner will retain the same body-on-frame design as the current model. Its design combines the truck front end and wagon body. The 4Runner looks very masculine, powerful and attractive. Moreover, the nicely shaped headlamps will give the whole front fascia more aggressive look. The TRD Pro trim level will feature the unique design of the grille. It will ride on standard 17-inch alloy wheels while the higher trim models will be available with larger 20-inch ones.
Like for the exterior, the interior of the 2018 Toyota 4Runner will stay pretty much the same. Its cabin is very spacious; it will be offered with two- and three-row seating. The seats are comfortable and upholstered in cloth. The dashboard will feature 6.1-inch touchscreen and the steering wheel will be wrapped in leather. Some of the standard equipment will be keyless entry, Entune audio system with eight speakers, power windows and door locks, Bluetooth, ten cup holders and so on. However, leather upholstery, Sirius satellite radio, dual-zone climate control, ventilated seats will come with top trim models.
Furthermore, as for the safety, the new Toyota scores very well. It will be provided with a rearview camera, cruise control, traction control, airbags, stability control, brake assist etc.

The 2018 Toyota 4Runner should go on sale sometime in the end of 2017. As for the pricing, it should start at around $35,000.
