2019 Honda HR-V: Engine, Review, Specs

The Honda HR-V is a great example of how the small car can perfectly combine sufficiently spacious interior, lots of standard features and excellent gas mileage all in one. It is a small crossover SUV which is economical and for those with a limited budget, it can be one of the choices which should definitively be considered. So, if you looking for a car which offers more interior space than the Mazda CX-3 or Nissan Juke, which is available with front- and all-wheel drive configurations and has excellent fuel efficiency, the HR-V is what you’re looking for. The newest version of this model has just been confirmed and it is the newest 2019 Honda HR-V.

The current, 2018 model year has just entered the market with just a few changes. It has gotten a new exterior color “Aegean Blue Metallic” and new design of the wheels in the higher trims. Furthermore, we assume that the 2019 HR-V should carry over mostly unchanged from the previous version. It will be offered in three trim levels and those are LX, EX, and EX-L trim levels.

Design of exterior and interior

The Honda HR-V design is characterized by the familiar coupe-like profile and a sloping roofline. Visually, it is a combination of a coupe and a crossover. All trim levels are fitted with 17-inch aluminum wheels and the EX and EX-L models feature a power moonroof. Moreover, the range-topping EX-L version also includes roof rails.

The 2019 Honda HR-V ’s interior is made of quality materials. There are plenty of head and knee room for the driver and the front passengers. However, the HR-V is less generous for the rear-seat passengers; it is much more comfortable with just two occupants although it is able to place three passengers. The higher trim levels will get leather seating as well.

All versions will come standard with a 5.0-inch touchscreen, audio system, USB, Bluetooth, a rearview camera, and power features. The EX trim will add keyless ignition, a sunroof, automatic climate control, heated front seats, a right-side rearview camera, and a larger 7.0-inch screen. Moving to the EX-L, there will be navigation, leather upholstery, and satellite radio.
