2019 Infiniti QX80: Interior, Release Date, Price

A couple of months ago, the Infiniti manufacturer has revealed its luxury full-size SUV which we all know as the QX80. It represents the 2018 model year which has undergone a mild refresh this time. Nevertheless, the latest reports indicate that the Company is planning the new version of this model which should enter the showrooms as the 2019 Infiniti QX80.

The Infiniti QX80 is a large and capable SUV which you should definitively consider if you need a vehicle which can accommodate up to eight passengers and it has excellent towing abilities. It also provides great ride quality and good handling. Inside the cabin, there will be lots of space but technology, especially infotainment system is considered a bit outdated. Under the hood, there will be one single engine in the offer. But it is impressively strong and it has a great towing capacity of 8,500 pounds.

The current, 2018 Infiniti QX80 has arrived with several important changes. The most noticeable change is its the new exterior styling. To be more precise, the XC80 has gotten fully refreshed front fascia which includes new headlamps, bumper, hood, fender and fender vents as well. On the rear, we could also notice revised LED taillights and tailgate. There are also more new color shades for the exterior. Furthermore, the interior has also been improved with better materials, upgraded infotainment system and revised steering wheel which is now wrapped in leather. In the engine department, this time there won’t be any mechanical upgrades.

The upcoming 2019 Infiniti QX80 will probably hit the market unchanged from the 2018 model year which has just been mildly refreshed. Still, we will have to wait for the official information to find out more.

The newest 2019 Infiniti QX80 will use the same engine which powers the outgoing model; there is one single option. It is a 5.6-liter V-8 engine which is able to make 400 horses and the torque of 413 pound-feet. The engine is mated to a 7-speed automatic transmission. It is available with either rear-wheel or all-wheel drive configurations. Both versions come with show mode and hill start assist. Its towing capacity will be up to 8,500 pounds. Speaking of the fuel economy, it gets 14 mpg in the city and 20 mpg on the highway with rear-wheel drive. With all-wheel drive, it is rated at 13 mpg in the city and 19 mpg on the highway.

Design of exterior and interior

The 2019 Infiniti QX80 will continue with the design of the 2018 model year which has just been refreshed. The front fascia now features a longer hood, revised, more upright grille and new LED headlamps. The result is a more aggressive and squarish appearance of the front end. The fog lights have now gotten LED lighting and the fenders are also reshaped. On the rear end, there are also new LED taillights and a revised bumper. The new QX80 rides on 20-inch aluminum wheels while the larger 22-inch ones will be available also. Moreover, there are three new exterior colors. Those include Mineral Black, Moonstone White, and Champagne Quartz.

The interior of the 2019 Infiniti QX80 is very spacious and able to accommodate up to eight passengers in three rows of seats. The seats are upholstered in quality leather and are very comfortable. The front seats will be heated too. The cargo room provides the space of 16.6 cubes. With the third-row folded flat, it offers the space of 49.6 cubic feet.The dashboard will be revised with the new leather-wrapped steering wheel and the larger touchscreen with the infotainment system. Unfortunately, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay won’t be available.

As for the equipment, it will come standard with navigation, three-zone climate control, moonroof, USB, Bluetooth, power-tilt/telescoping steering wheel, around view monitor and so on. Furthermore, there will also be several optional packages. The Deluxe Technology package will add Bose surround-sound system with 15 speakers, a camera-based rearview mirror, the upgraded leather, seats and so on. The Theater package will include dual 8-inch screens for the rear-seat passengers and wireless headphones. And the Driver Assistance package will offer a blind-spot warning, forward emergency braking, collision warning, active cruise control, lane departure warning, and so on.

Release date and price

We still don’t know when the 2019 Infiniti QX80 will be presented to the world. Its price will probably be the same as the one of the 2018 model. It starts at around $66,000.
