2019 Jaguar E-Pace: Review, Price, Changes

With attractive exterior design, premium interior, and strong performance, the Jaguar E-Pace has quickly become very popular on the road. This model has been all-new for 2018, so the upcoming 2019 Jaguar E-Pace should mainly remain a carryover. However, according to the latest news, the manufacturer will most likely reveal the new E-Pace SVR model which should get a more aggressive appearance and a stronger V-6 powertrain.

Engine and performances of the 2019 Jaguar E-Pace

The 2019 Jaguar E-Pace will return with the same engine as the current model. So, it will use a 2.0-liter inline-4 turbocharged engine which in the S, SE, and First Edition model will have the output of 246 horses and 269 pound-feet of torque. The engine will work with a 9-speed automatic transmission and the all-wheel drive system will be standard. As for the fuel economy, it is estimated to be 21 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway.

Furthermore, the R-Dynamic S, SE, and HSE models will use the same 2.0-liter inline-4 turbo unit. However, in these models, it will be stronger and able to produce 296 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. It will also feature the same gearbox and all-wheel drive system. This unit will get 21 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway.

On the other hand, the 2019 model year will introduce the new SVR variant which will be powered by the same engine which is found in the F-Pace SVR. So, it is a 3.0-liter V-6 engine which can deliver 340 horsepower in the F-Pace.

Exterior and interior

The 2018 model year has been all-new so the 2019 Jaguar E-Pace will most likely keep the same styling. It is definitively one of the most attractive SUVs in its class. The front end wears the brand’s recognizable grille and nicely designed cat-eye shaped headlamps. The whole body is sleek and there is a pair of rounded exhaust outlets on the rear which give it a bit aggressive appearance. The base model rides on the standard 17-inch wheels while the higher trims are offered with the larger 20 inchers.

The interior of the 2019 Jaguar E-Pace is very spacious, and compared to its main rivals such as Audi Q3, BMW X1, or Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class, it provides roomier cabin and therefore more comfortable ride. As well, the cabin is made of high-quality materials and it looks stylish and futuristic. The front seats are particularly comfortable and suitable even for taller passengers. However, the second row isn’t as cozy as the first one, but it is pretty good. Behind the second row, there are 24.2 cubic feet for cargo. However, with the rear seats folded down, the E-Pace offers the room of more than 52 cubic feet.

The S trim will add leather upholstery, 18-inch wheels, parking sensors, power-adjustable front seats, and navigation. The SE models will offer premium audio, a power tailgate, 19-inch wheels, and more safety features. The HSE R-Dynamic will come with a head-up display, adjustable bolsters, a motion-activated tailgate etc.
