2019 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk: Interior, Review, Photos

The newest Jeep Cherokee has been presented at the 2018 Detroit Auto Show showing its new face, new engine, and revised cabin. In addition to the Latitude, Latitude Plus, Limited, and Overland trim levels, the carmaker has also unveiled the Trailhawk model. It is characterized by excellent off-road capabilities and strong performance. So, this time, we will talk about the newest 2019 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk.

The Jeep Cherokee has been new for the 2014 model year, and the upcoming 2019 version is finally getting its much-awaited refresh. This time it is bringing the new design of the exterior with new headlamps and daytime running lights. Under the hood, there will be three engines available but if you want more power, then the 3.2-liter V-6 will be the best choice. As the matter of fact, this engine is standard on the Trailhawk and Overland models. The cabin is also revised with upgraded infotainment and standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. The Trailhawk version will be equipped pretty much the same as the Latitude Plus. But it will get a few more features. As well, the Jeep Trailhawk will be the best choice for those who want excellent off-road capabilities.

The newest Jeep Cherokee will be available with three types of engines under its hood. The standard unit for the 2019 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk, so as for the Overland trim level, is a 3.2-liter V-6 engine. This unit is able to generate 271 hp and 239 pound-feet of torque. It works which a 9-speed automatic transmission which is also used for the other engines. As well, it is able to go from 0 to 60 mph in 7.5 seconds. The all-wheel drive is standard.

On the other hand, the base unit is a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine which can produce 180 horses and the torque of 17 lb-ft. This unit can reach 60 mph in 10.5 seconds. There is also the new engine in the lineup and it is 2.0-liter turbo-4. This engine has the output of 270 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. It is also the quickest and can hit 60 mph in 7 seconds.

Design of exterior and interior

The Jeep Cherokee will be refreshed with the new headlamps. They are equipped with standard LED lighting and new daytime running lights. As well, the seven-slat grille is also slightly reworked and now looks more handsome. The 2019 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk will add more pronounced and reshaped bumpers with more black details.

The interior will keep its familiar rugged appearance but it will look more modern and comfortable. The 2019 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk will receive an 8.4-inch touchscreen for infotainment system. As well, since it is an off-roader, it is equipped with off-road suspension, Active Drive Lock System, taller 17-inch alloy wheels, and a rear fascia skid plate. Among other standard equipment, there is cloth and vinyl upholstery, cruise control, satellite radio, several USB ports, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, 8-way power adjustable driver’s seats etc.

Furthermore, the Trailhawk will be provided with eight airbags, hill-start assist, a rearview camera, trailer sway control, blind-spot monitors, and rear-path detection. As well, there is the optional Technology package. It adds adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, rain-sensing wipers, forward collision warnings, and so on.

Release date and price

The 2019 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk will go on sale later this year. The price of the Trailhawk version will start at around $34,500.
