How the compact SUV segment is very popular, the Jeep manufacturer has decided to give it some important changes. Those will include upgrades in the engine department and exterior styling. Inside the cabin, the Cherokee should remain mostly unchanged. The only improvements we can expect are the upgraded infotainment system and more space for small items and more cargo space. What you might not like, is its price which, compared to its main rivals is still higher and the same old 9-speed automatic gearbox.
The Jeep Cherokee will be available in several trim levels. Those will include Latitude, Latitude Plus, Limited, Overland, and Trailhawk trims. Its main rivals on the market will include Subaru Forester, Toyota RAV4, Honda CR-V, Ford Escape, and Hyundai Santa Fe Sport.

Design of exterior and interior
The upcoming 2019 Jeep Cherokee has finally gotten its much-needed design. Both front and rear fascia will be refreshed but the most visible change will be seen on the front end. First of all, the carmaker has now integrated into one the previous split lighting. So, the headlamps, fog lights, and daytime running lights now function as one single unit which gives it more conventional look. The headlamps feature a new shape too and all the lights now get LED lighting. We can also notice new design of the hood which is now more vertical and there is a new dual-pane sunroof. The rear fascia is also slightly revised. Those changes include upgraded taillights and new dual exhaust pipes. Furthermore, there are also five new wheel designs and some new colors for the exterior.
When it comes to interior, the 2019 Jeep Cherokee won’t differ much from the current model. However, this time it will get upgraded infotainment system and more cargo space which now increases to 25.8 cubic feet. Depending on the trim levels, there will be some upgrades in the materials and color combinations. So, the Strom Blue will be offered in Latitude and Latitude Plus while the Overland version will receive a Dark Sienna shade. The Latitude will also get more quality materials for the seats and doors and upgrades of the stereo. The satin chrome accents and matte black surfaces will be offered in the Overland trim. Moreover, there will be a standard 7.0-inch touchscreen with latest Uconnect system and Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. The larger 8.4-inch screen will be available too.
