2019 Nissan Patrol: Review, Engine, Release Date, Price

The Nissan Patrol has been on a market for more than six decades and it has become very popular on the roads. The current version has been fully refreshed back in 2015 and now the carmaker has released the 2018 model year. The 2018 Patrol will be less expensive than the previous model but it will also bring some small changes in all the segments. However, according to the latest news, the Nissan is planning to develop the newest version which should enter the showrooms as the 2019 Nissan Patrol.

2019 Nissan Patrol

The Nissan Patrol is a full-size SUV which combines great off-road capability, powerful performance, and functionality. It is a great choice for any type of surface and ideal for large families because of its spacious cabin. Unfortunately, because of its large dimensions, it is not that easy to maneuver around the city or park. However, it features a very powerful V-8 engine under its hood, but its fuel efficiency is really poor. Besides the roominess, the cabin also looks very luxurious; it is functional and equipped with many modern features too. It comes in two variants and the more expensive model is the Patrol TI-L. As well this version comes with the seating for seven, while the base model is able to welcome up to eight passengers.

The 2018 Nissan Patrol has arrived with some small yet significant changes. Like we have already said, it will be less pricey now. Furthermore, we will notice some minor adjustments in the exterior styling including grille and fog lights and small upgrades inside the cabin. As well, in the center of the dash, there will be an upgraded touchscreen with the latest infotainment system. We can also expect the new design of the wheels. Under the hood, there won’t be any changes compared to the current model.

Finally, the newest 2019 Nissan Patrol should arrive with the same design and performance as the 2018 model year. However, this information is still not officially confirmed and we will have to wait for the Nissan Company to confirm it.

Its main competitors on the market will be GMC Yukon, Toyota Land Cruiser Prado and Lexus LX 570.

2019 Nissan Patrol engine and performance

The newest 2019 Nissan Patrol will feature the same engine as the current model and there is one single option. It is a powerful 5.6-liter V-8 engine. This unit is able to produce up to 400 horsepower and the torque of 420 pound-feet. It will pair with a 7-speed automatic transmission. As well, the All-Mode all-wheel drive system will be standard. Unfortunately, its fuel economy will be very poor and it is rated at around 16 mpg combined.

All the seats are very cozy and are upholstered in leather. The third row will be most suitable for smaller adults or children.
