2019 Rolls-Royce Project Cullinan: Review, Release Date

The Rolls-Royce first built SUV has been spied during its testing at the Nurburgring. It is the newest 2019 Rolls-Royce Project Cullinan. Based on the photos, we can immediately conclude that this luxury crossover SUV will share many similarities with the next-generation Phantom model. Well, this is not a surprise, since these two will also share the same new platform so as styling cues. As well, the shots of the future Rolls-Royce Cullinan’s interior have been revealed recently as well, and with no doubt we can say that is almost the same as latest Phantom model. In the engine department, we assume that it will use the company’s V-12 unit although many things can change until it goes on sale. This luxury SUV could also be easily fitted with a hybrid drivetrain eventually.

The main rivals of the new Rolls-Royce will be Bentley Bentayga and Lamborghini Urus.

2019 Rolls-Royce Project Cullinan engine and performance

It is still too early to talk about the engine which will power the future 2019 Rolls-Royce Project Cullinan. However, based on the latest news and assumption, this luxury SUV will most likely use a V-12 powertrain under its hood. So, the one option could be a 6.6-liter twin-turbo engine which would be able to develop up to 600 horses and 600 pound-feet of torque which is amazing. The engine will most likely pair with well-known 8-speed ZF automatic transmission.

On the other hand, we could easily see it with a 6.75-liter V-12 twin-turbo engine. This one will be capable of producing 563 hp and the torque of 664 pound-feet. Furthermore, at some point in future, we could also see a hybrid version of this model.

Design of exterior and interior, platform

The upcoming 2019 Rolls-Royce Project Cullinan will ride on the newly developed aluminum spaceframe architecture which will at some point in future be used by the company’s entire lineup. This platform also underpins the new Phantom model.

As for the exterior design, besides the underpinnings, the new Project Cullinan will also share some styling details. So, the front end will feature the brand’s familiar upright chrome grille and a pair of rectangular headlamps. Bellow the grille, there will be a larger bumper with several air intakes. Moving to the rear end of the vehicle, we will notice taillights which will be similar to the ones found in the Phantom model. As well, there will be more pronounced bumper and larger exhaust outlets. The new Rolls-Royce will ride on the large 22-inch wheels.

This means large and wide dashboard with large infotainment screen in the middle of it. As well, the quality leather and Alcantara upholstery will be standard. Furthermore, we will notice some nice wood and aluminum details too.
