2019 Skoda Polar: Design, Review, Release Date

In the last couple of years, we could notice that the Czech manufacturer is expanding its crossover SUV lineup with new models. Last year, they have unveiled the new midsize Kodiaq and recently they have presented the new Yeti model which represents the replacement of the compact Karoq model. However, according to the latest reports, the carmaker is working on the new SUV which will represent the brand’s smallest crossover. So, it is going to be the all-new 2019 Skoda Polar.

The newest Skoda Polar is expected to have many similarities with the Fabia model. It is a compact sport utility vehicle which will represent the SUV version of the Fabia model. It will ride on the MQB architecture and visually will also share similar styling tweaks with Fabia also. Furthermore, the newest Polar will be powered by the VW’s petrol three- and four-cylinder engines. As well, it will be available with the optional all-wheel drive system and a DSG transmission. Inside the cabin, we expect elegant and comfortable interior with many modern infotainment and safety features.

The brand-new Skoda Polar will find main rivals in Peugeot 2008, Nissan Juke, and Renault Captur.

Design of exterior and interior

The newest 2019 Skoda Polar will be based on the well-known MQB platform and will basically represent an SUV version of the Skoda Fabia. Therefore, the new Polar will have very much in common with this model. However, the Polar will get more muscular design with typical SUV shape. The headlamps will be sharp and will give it a bit aggressive look. They also might receive the quality LED lighting. On the rear end, there should be restyled, square tail lamps and sportier, more prominent bumper.

From the moment we enter into the cabin of the 2019 Skoda Polar, we will notice the similar style as in the Fabia model. It features the same design of the dashboard which will be equipped with the new infotainment screen. Furthermore, the new Skoda will provide excellent comfort, good space for all the passengers, and many advanced features and safety systems. However, because of the lack of information, we cannot reveal more details.
