2019 Toyota Land Cruiser: Price, Review, Interior

If the off-road driving is on your priority list, then the new Toyota Land Cruiser could be a great choice. The 2016 model year has been majorly refreshed so this time we can expect just some small adjustments. The Japanese carmaker has just revealed the 2018 Land Cruiser which has arrived with several upgrades in styling. However, the latest reports suggest that manufacturer is planning to launch the newest version which will hit the market as the 2019 Toyota Land Cruiser.

The Toyota Land Cruiser is one of the range-topping SUVs in the Toyota lineup which stands above the large Sequoia model. It is an excellent off-roader and great for any type of surface. However, it might not be such a good choice for everyday city driving. As well, it doesn’t show such good fuel economy and it is a bit pricey. However, it offers a spacious and well-equipped cabin and ample cargo space so it is great for trips. Under the hood, it features a strong V-8 engine and it has solid towing capacities of 8,000 pounds.

2019 Toyota Land Cruiser side

The current 2018 Toyota Land Cruiser has brought several changes. First of all, this time there should be some changes in the exterior design including bumpers, lights, and grille. As well, the cabin will be refreshed and we will notice revised dashboard. Under the hood, it seems that the things will stay the same. Furthermore, the Land Cruiser will now get an optional rear-seat entertainment system which was earlier standard.

As for the 2019 Toyota 4Runner, we assume that it will most likely arrive unchanged and we can only expect some small upgrades considering tech features. The strongest rivals of the Land Cruiser will be Lexus LX, Nissan Armada, Land Rover Range Rover Velar, Cadillac Escalade, Jeep Wrangler Unlimited and Mercedes-Benz G-Class.

2019 Toyota Land Cruiser engine and performance

The newest 2019 Toyota Land Cruiser will probably use the same powertrain as the current model. There will be one single option and it is a 5.7-liter V-8 unit. This engine is able to produce 381 horsepower and 401 pound-feet of torque. It will pair with an 8-speed automatic gearbox and the all-wheel-drive system will be standard. As for the fuel economy, it is rated at 13 mpg in the city, 18 mpg on the highway and 15 mpg combined.

Design of exterior and interior

Speaking of the exterior, the 2019 Toyota Land Cruiser should arrive with the same styling of the current model. The Land Cruiser is generally attractive SUV with recognizable handsome and rounded front fascia.  It features redesigned grille and a pair of standard LED headlamps with LED daytime running lights.  There will also be a new bumper. The rear end will get refreshed taillights and the new design of the bumper too. It will ride on the standard 17-inch wheel while the larger 18-inch and 19-inch 12-spoke wheels will be available also.

2019 Toyota Land Cruiser cabin

Inside, the 2019 Toyota Land Cruiser will feature very spacious and comfortable cabin. It has three rows of seats and it is able to welcome up to seven passengers. The first and the second-row seats are very comfortable that we cannot say the same for the third one which is a bit tight and it is most suitable for children. The seats are upholstered in soft semi-aniline leather. The cargo room is very good providing the space of 16.1 cubic feet. However, with if you remove the third row and fold flat the second row, you get the space of around 82 cubic feet. The dashboard will feature a 9.0-inch touchscreen with the infotainment system.
