The current Toyota Rush has recently been presented in Indonesia as the compact crossover SUV with a spacious interior, attractive design, and a good 4-cylinder unit under its hood. The 2018 model year has arrived with a few changes including revised exterior and upgraded technology. However, according to the latest rumors, the Japanese manufacturer is working on the new version of this model which will enter the dealerships as the 2019 Toyota Rush. The all-new Rush won’t be a large departure from the current version which has just been refreshed. So, this time we might only see a few changes such as more safety and infotainment features.
2019 Toyota Rush powertrain and performance
The all-new 2019 Toyota Rush will return with the same engine as the current model. And there is one option for all the trim levels. So, it is the same 1.5-liter 4-cylinder petrol engine. This engine has the output of 107 horsepower and 103 lb-ft of torque. It is mated to a 4-speed automatic gearbox but it is also available with a 5-speed automatic. The Rush comes standard with a rear-wheel drive layout.
Design of exterior and interior
The current 2018 Toyota Rush has been refreshed with a new design of the front fascia which included a revamped grille and new headlights. So, the upcoming 2019 Toyota Rush will basically come as a carryover and it could also receive some small adjustments. Generally, the Rush looks very attractive with its typical SUV shape but sporty and sleek lines also over the body. The front fascia wears a four-slat grille with chrome trim and attractive slim headlights with LED daytime running lights. The headlamps are available with LED lighting as well. Below the grille, the Rush features slightly refreshed bumper and round fog lights. The base model will ride on the standard 16-inch wheels. However, the top-line TRD Sportive model will be offered with the larger 17-inch two-tone alloy wheels.
Moving inside the cabin of the 2019 Toyota Rush, we will notice a modern and well-built interior with premium materials and plenty of modern features. The dashboard will feature a two-tone design in the TRD Sportive trim levels and there will be a 7.0-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system.
Equipment of the 2019 Toyota Rush
All the models of the 2019 Toyota Rush will include a reversing camera, push-button start, and tilt-adjusted steering. The higher trim levels will get a 7.0-inch touchscreen with infotainment system on the center of the dash. As well, they will also add Bluetooth, keyless entry, a premium audio system with CD player and radio, an automatic air conditioning, digital display, USB port, smartphone compatibility, and many others. In the terms of the safety, the Rush will come with six airbags, hill start assist, ABS and EBD, and stability control.
Release date and price
It is still not confirmed when the 2019 Toyota Rush will go on sale. Perhaps it could happen sometime during next year. As for the price, we expect it to stay close to the price of the current model.
