The current RAV4 has been fully refreshed, so the new 2020 Toyota RAVV4 should arrive with minimal changes this time. Perhaps we can expect some technology upgrades, and that will be pretty much all. So, it will arrive with the same attractive design, spacious cabin, and plenty of standard safety features.
Powertrain and performance of the 2020 Toyota RAV4
The 2020 Toyota RAV4 will arrive with the same engines as the current model and there are two units available including a hybrid engine as well. The base engine is a 2.5-liter inline-4 which is able to make more than 200 horses. It will be linked to an 8-speed automatic transmission. As well, it will be available with either front-wheel or all-wheel drive systems. On the other hand, the RAV4 will also be offered with a hybrid engine which will use a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder unit with an electric motor. This one will be mated to a continuously variable transmission and will be the most fuel-efficient of all the models.
Design of exterior and interior
The 2019 model year has been revised visually, so the upcoming 2020 Toyota RAV4 shouldn’t get any large changes. It is slightly shorter than the previous models and also slightly wider. Thanks to the longer wheelbase, the RAV4 now provides more space for the rear passengers. In terms of exterior design, the 2020 Toyota RAV4 looks very attractive and more aggressive and features blocky lines which have given it more aerodynamics. The front end wears the same projecting grille and elongated and sharper headlights. Furthermore, all the models will slightly differ from each other with unique elements and trims.
Inside, the 2020 Toyota RAV4 looks modern and classy. It features two rows of seats and there is sufficient space for all the passengers. It can welcome up to five passengers. The cargo space is also pretty generous. In the center of the dashboard, there is a standard 7.0-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system which is placed high. The larger 8.0-inch screen is also available. As well, all the models will feature s standard Toyota’s latest Entune 3.0 suite with Apple CarPlay connectivity. The climate and comfort controls are positioned below so as a control knob for different drive modes. Bluetooth, power windows and locks, USB port will also come in all the models. The higher trim levels will be available with a JBL audio system, five USB ports, a 7.0-inch TFT display, and a charging pad for Qi-compatible devices.
As for the safety, the Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 will be standard. And it will include lane departure warning, full-speed active cruise control, pre-collision warning, pedestrian detection, automatic high beams, lane tracing assist, and so on.

There is still no official information when the 2020 Toyota RAV4 should make its premiere. However, we believe that it won’t be before late 2019. The pricing is also not yet revealed, but we don’t expect any large changes compared to the current model which starts at around $25,700.
